I can get to the Nethershard vendors in the zones themselves and complete the invasions without the quests. You miss the XP from the last boss, but you can do the same invasion over and over.and over and over. When you re-enter the zone, the invasion resets. Just leave the zone once the final boss is up. If you've already got the invasion achievements, you can do the same invasion repeatedly without going all over Azeroth. If anyone has lower level chars and you want a fast boost of XP, just go park yourself in an invasion zone.
